COUPLES & SEX THERAPY

Couples Therapy

Whether you're experiencing communication issues, conflict, loss of connection and friendship, decreased intimacy and romance, infidelity, sexual difficulties, life transitions, future planning, or other relationship challenges, I can help. I utilize a combination of evidence-based techniques to help couples improve their communication, deepen their emotional connection and bonding, partner more cohesively, and cultivate greater intimacy and trust. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to couples therapy. Therefore, we'll work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that meets your specific needs and preferences. I have worked with couples for many years and have witnessed couples improve their relationships and work through challenges that they may not have been able to overcome on their own. My goal to provide an empathetic space for you and your partner to explore your feelings, improve communication, and develop the skills needed to create a stronger, healthier, and more fulfilling relationship.

Modalities: The Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Couples Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy, Sex Therapy, Sensate-Focused Therapy, and more.

Sex Therapy

As a sex therapist, working with both individuals and couples, I have an extensive background in human sexuality and functioning, relationship dynamics and intimacy, and the treatment of sexual concerns. My experience also includes work within open non-monogamous relationships, the kink community, and with LGBTQ couples. Sex therapy is designed to address problems while improving sexual functioning and increasing sexual pleasure and well-being. It can be helpful for individuals and couples who are experiencing a range of sexual difficulties, such as low sexual desire, difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection, difficulty with orgasm, pain during sex, or sexual anxiety. Other areas that sex therapy helps to address include: sex addiction (hypersexual disorder), pornography addiction, sexual trauma, sexual difficulties and dysfunctions (male and female), problems within the sexual response cycle, negative emotions around sex including postcoital dysphoria (PCD), as well as other sexual disorders. Together we will develop a plan tailored to your specific needs and to improve sexual satisfaction. I offer an integrative treatment approach which includes elements of talk therapy, sex education, behavioral exercises, and techniques for improving sexual communication and intimacy.

Modalities: Sensate and Sensory Awareness Techniques, Sex Positive Sexual Reintegration, Cognitive Techniques, Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Based Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Trauma-Informed Sex Therapy, and more.
