MALE-SPECIFIC THERAPY

"Chazak veya’ametz libecha“ translated to "be strong, and strengthen your heart” is a Jewish Middah (value/virtue) that encourages every one of us to cultivate the inner strength we need to meet the inevitable challenges that emerge.

Men face their own unique experiences and challenges, which can impact their mental health and well-being. Unfortunately there are pressures related to traditional masculinity, such as emotional suppression, self-reliance, and the stigma around seeking help. I have specialized training and experience in working with men, including counseling military veterans as well as my time working in the corporate world. All of which has culminated in unique practice expertise that has given me insight into male-specific issues. Currently, a third of my practice is working with men, not including my work with couples. I offer practical solutions, a focus on action and results, strength-based approaches, male-focused psychoeducation, as well as empathy, respect, validation and, I've been told, a relatable personality.
