SUBSTANCE ABUSE & ADDICTION

Simply put, addiction is a complex and chronic disorder characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli despite negative consequence. While it is important to address the underlying causes of addiction, I find that a goal-directed, collaborative approach that focuses on finding practical solutions rather than dwelling on problems is most effective. I want to help individuals identify and build upon their strengths and desired outcomes to create positive change in their lives. There is no straightforward approach to recovery. I believe any treatment that leads to an addiction-free life is worth pursuing. Thus I help my clients explore all possible avenues to success. My ultimate goal is to help my clients create a fulfilling and satisfying life free from addiction.
